特点及课程设置
The Master of Public Health (MPH) in General Public Health is designed to equip practitioners with the knowledge and skills needed to play roles in key public health functions such as assessment, planning, action implementation and evaluation, in governmental, non-governmental, community-based and industry settings across sectors and jurisdictions.
课程设置介绍:
In addition to 30* of core public health courses, you have the opportunity to obtain additional credentials concurrently by taking graduate embedded certificates (GEC), or 15* of competency building electives.
45 units of coursework:
30 units of required courses.
15 units of elective courses. Students may fulfill their elective credits by taking graduate embedded certificates (GEC), individual courses as electives, or a combination of the two. GECs may be available in other U of A graduate faculties.
Please plan on one course averaging 10-12 hours of work per week, including class time, regardless of units — the units represent the weeks of instruction, not the workload.
Rule of thumb for graduate school: three hours of work outside the classroom for every one hour of instruction.
