Addictions and Mental Health (AMH) problems account for five of the leading 10 contributors to the burden of illness in Canada.

The MScCH degree requires the completion of 5.0 full course credit equivalents (FCE) including required courses, a supervised field placement or practicum in which learners can apply their new skills and record and reflect upon their experiences, and elective course(s).

- CHL5103H: Health Promotion 1 - 0.5 FCE
- CHL5300H: Public Health Policy - 0.5 FCE
- CHL5690H: MScCH Required Practicum - 0.5 FCE
- PAS3700H: Multidisciplinary Aspects of Addictions OR CHL5120H: Population Health Perspectives on Mental Health and Addictions - 0.5 FCE
Plus at least two of the following:
- PAS3701H: Research Issues in the Addictions - 0.5 FCE
- CHL5417H: Tobacco and Health: From Cells to Society - 0.5 FCE
- CHL5610H: Theory and Practice of Behaviour Change in Primary Care - 0.5 FCE
- SWK4616H: Drug Dependence: Interventive Approaches - 0.5 FCE
