Pharmaceutical Statistics 医药统计
Classes are taught by expert biostatisticians, many of whom work with or come from the pharmaceutical sector, or consult with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) on clinical and device trial design.
Successful applicants have a strong background in mathematics (at least two semesters of calculus) with experience in or a desire to join the pharmaceutical sector.
Statistical Genetics 统计遗传学
Applicants should have a background in college mathematics and statistics (including calculus and basic probability and statistics), with exposure to or familiarity with linear/matrix algebra. Students with additional background in computer science, biology, and interest in genetics and complex diseases are given priority. Excellent scores on the GRE are expected.
Theory and Methods（TM）理论与方法
In addition to fulfilling their course work, all TM students complete a one-term practicum and capstone experience. The practicum experience is an important element of the TM training, as it provides students with the opportunity to apply knowledge learned in the classroom to real-world situations and offers a taste of future career opportunities.
Applicants should have some background in college mathematics, including at least a year of calculus. A semester of linear/matrix algebra is highly encouraged. Students with strong scores on the quantitative section of the GRE are given first preference.
