这个全新的表演艺术研究文学硕士课程是香港演艺学院的首个表演艺术理论硕士级别研究课程（香港资历架构第6级）。此课程的科目取材於香港演艺学院的六所学院（戏曲学院、舞蹈学院、戏剧学院、电影电视学院、音乐学院及舞台及制作艺术学院）的课程编织成一个连贯、灵活、跨学科的课程。该课程旨在使学生成为跨学科的思想家或实践者。藉著来自不同学科和表演艺术背景的学生, 导师会在课堂中促进不同表演艺术学科的实践、技能、知识和研究方法的跨学科交流。毕业生将成为文化倡导者和领导者，并从事於创意、文化和表演艺术行业的管理、策展和教育的领域。本课程由香港演艺学院通识教育及研究部门提供。
