伦斯勒理工学院(Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute,简称 RPI)成立于1824年，校园面积为296英亩。位于美国东北部纽约州的特洛伊（Troy）。小城依山傍水，古朴宁静，紧邻纽约州首府Albany，交通十分便利，临近首府Albany，距纽约、波士顿仅有三至三个半小时车程。伦斯勒理工学院是全美最早的工科大学，二战期间是美国军队的重要研究机构和教育机构。伦斯勒理工学院的创建原则就是将科学带入日常生活中，而这种精神在今天依旧保持着。学校共设七个学院，提供 100 多个学习项目,1000 多个课程，提供本科、硕士、博士学位。RPI与许多美国著名公司如GE、GM、AT&T、LUCENT、IBM等有着广泛的联系。PRI 既向这些科技公司输送高质量人才，又从这些公司获得多方面的支持和资助。
