After a preliminary review of their file, only selected candidates will be invited for an interview. All interviews are conducted remotely. During your interview, you will be asked some technical questions:
We are looking for examples that highlight your quantitative skills.
We are looking for examples that highlight your coding/Technology skills.
We will likely ask you to speak of your experiences through a project (either at school or at work) where you had to solve a practical problem and explain how you found the solution to that problem.
And some behavioural questions:
We are looking for examples that highlight your application/business accumen through display of subject matter expertise
We are interested in your future pursuits/vision of your career
The interview process is highly important: it not only helps the admissions committee to better understand your background and objectives, but it is also an important opportunity for you to ask key questions to ensure that the MMA at McGill-Desautels is the right program for you.

The McGill Master of Management in Analytics (MMA) degree is a pre-experience, one-year specialized program in the evolving field of business analytics with a strong emphasis on experiential learning.
The MMA program is designed to address the growing need of organizations (for-profit, non-profit, governmental) for data-driven decision-making that uses both business acumen and technical skills.
Students will earn a master's degree in business analytics and learn managerial problem-solving using state-of-the-art data analytics tools in order to prepare for meaningful careers in analytics across a variety of industries and managerial settings.

Core Module (21 credits)
Designed to build your statistical problem-solving acumen and teach the Technical fundamentals of: Data analytics, Decision analytics, Team management, and Leadership.
The Complementary Course Module (15 credits)
The MMA program is considered industry agnostic. Thus, our complementary courses are designed to expose students to a variety of topics such as marketing, retailing, supply chain, healthcare, security, pricing, talent and network analytics. Sample courses include: Introduction to Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, Enterprise Analytics using Cloud Computing, Social Media Analytics, Healthcare Analytics, and Revenue Management.
The Experiential Module (9 credits)
MMA’s experiential module is designed to provide students with the experience of hands-on application of the concepts taught in real world settings and the opportunity to interact with practitioners in leading analytics organizations.

The program duration ranges from 1 year (MMA in-person) to 1.5 years (MMA Online). In addition, the MMA (in-person) also offers a 1.5-year option that includes an internship for students interested in gaining additional professional experience prior to graduation.
