Applicants for Applied Theatre, Drama and Education Majors should possess a Bachelor's degree in relevant disciplines in education, social work or equivalent and at least two years of drama and theatre education or applied theatre experience.
Applicants for Dramaturgy Major should possess a Bachelor's degree in relevant disciplines in arts and humanities, theatre or creative arts. Applicants possessing a Bachelor's degree in other areas will also be considered on the basis of their relevant work and creative experience.
Applicants for Playwriting Major should have a satisfactory level of Chinese comprehension and writing skills.

戲劇藝術碩士課程提供一個高階程度的自主學習機會，透過專業實習及實踐式研究方法為學生加強學習基礎。四個主修科目包括深度研習導演、編劇、應用劇場，戲劇與教育及劇場構作的理論與實踐，輔以有關當代舞台、戲劇教育、應用劇場、表演寫作、劇場構作、表演藝術及其文化背景等課程教授，以擴闊學生的相關知識。本課程鼓勵修讀不同主修科目的學生一起學習並發掘更多跨學科的合作機會。
